Coaching opportunities
All adults involved in the our sports programs must first clear a background check with our administration prior to participating in any activities.
Volunteer opportunities
Volunteering is open to anyone who wants to help our sports programs.
Volunteers under 18, must be at least 2 years older than the age group they will be assisting.
No long term commitment is necessary, but we do appreciate notice of attendance. We are just happy to have you involved and helping our program.
A coaching candidate interested in a future role as a Head Coach, must begin the coaching program by volunteering with our youngest aged division. For soccer this includes Under 4 and Under 6 divisions, and age groups may vary by sport/program. A new coach in the coaching program may volunteer or assist with additional age groups as well, but MUST commit to this youngest age group as a starting point.
Assistant Coach
Assistant Coaches are there to help coaches keep players focused, motivated and on task. The Assistant Coach participates sort of in the background of the head coach as we don't want 2 voices leading practices or games. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in becoming Head Coach to learn culture of programs, operations of running a team, and the philosophy behind our curriculum based practice structure and game management.
An assistant coach does not need to commit long term, but we ask that anyone interested in being an assistant coach at least commit to attending and assisting practices sessions for the session.
Head coach
Candidates must volunteer at least 1 season prior to being eligible to Head Coach.
To be eligible to be a head coach, all candidates must first complete these qualifications:
- CPR Certification
- "Heads up" Concussion Certification
The Head Coach position is a paid position within our organization and therefore all Head Coaches must follow our standards of coaching in our sports programs. The Head Coach is hired as contract labor, but is subject to our performance standards and attendance requirements.
